Happy Europe Day!

This holiday is a confirmation of the unity of Ukraine and Europe not only geographically, but also in spirit, history and shared values, because the Ukrainian people are an integral part of European civilization.

This holiday is an excellent opportunity to testify once again to Ukraine’s desire to live in peace and build its future among European countries.

Europe Day is a symbol of creating a new successful model of peaceful cooperation between countries based on the rule of freedom, democracy and law.

The main idea of the pan-European Day is that every resident of the continent, regardless of his or her nationality and citizenship, must feel free in the ‘European home’.

On February 28, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a declaration on Ukraine’s accession to the EU, and already on March 1, the European Parliament voted for the candidate status of EU membership for Ukraine. This is a decisive moment.

This year, Ukraine is celebrating Europe Day in a full-scale war against the russian aggressor. The European Union stands side by side with us, providing comprehensive support, from military to humanitarian. Millions of citizens have found refuge from the war in EU countries.

At the same time, Ukrainian warriors act as a strong shield for Europeans, protecting virtually all of Europe from the aggressive imperial ambitions of the Kremlin.

Now the countries that used to be just neighbors have become close friends and helpers for us. In particular, the Republic of Moldova has become a new home for many Ukrainians. It has handed over significant humanitarian cargoes for hospitals, and the government has approved material aid of about $3.5 million for Ukraine.

Thanks to everyone who gave us a helping hand in this difficult time.

Together we will win!
