On 31 May, the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Moldova in Khmelnytsky was paid a friendly visit by guests from Poland: Adam Kwiatkowski, Minister of the Chancellery of the Polish President, Maciej Karasinski, General Director of the Foreign Service at the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Damian Ciarcinski, Polish General Consul in Vinnytsia.
The Honorary Consul of the Republic of Moldova, Mykola Skrypkovskiy, congratulated the distinguished guests at the consulate, expressing gratitude for the kindness and assistance, friendship and support extended to the Ukrainians:
“The brotherly Polish people have been helping Ukraine continuously since the first day of the war.But no words are enough to describe our appreciation for this incredible support, for the helping hand extended by Poland during these difficult times for our nation. To our and your freedom!”
The sides paid special attention to Ukraine’s humanitarian needs during the war and after it had ended. They discussed the ways to optimize cooperation with diplomatic institutions to assist internally displaced people on the territory of Poland. The Honorary Consul also asked his Polish colleagues to actively engage in advocacy for Ukraine during its European integration process.
The conversation was constructive and the meeting took place in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Mr. Consul presented the guests with memorable gifts: a book on the history of Khmelnytsky region, and delicious wines and cognac from the Republic of Moldova. Mykola Skrypkovskiy and his wife received presents from the First Lady of the Republic of Poland Agata Korngauser-Duda and also passed on reciprocal gifts.
The Polish delegation thanked for the hearty welcome. Adam Kwiatkowski and Maciej Karasinski left memorable entries in the Consulate’s Book of Honored Guests.
