Charity event for Independence Day

Yesterday, August 24, Ukraine celebrated the 31st anniversary of its Independence.

This year the major national holiday was more special and disturbing than ever, because August 24 was the six-month anniversary of Ukraine’s resistance to a full-scale invasion by russia.

For Independence Day in Khmelnytsky the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Moldova and the ROYAL PALACE LUXURY HOTEL & SPA held a charity event.

The festivities began at 14.00 with congratulatory speech by Honorary Consul of the Republic of Moldova Mykola Skrypkovskiy:

“Congratulations on the 31st anniversary of Ukrainian Independence, first of all I want to thank our Armed Forces, whose heroic resistance allowed us to gather here. I am confident we will celebrate the next Independence Day with a grandiose military parade in Khreshchatyk.

Thus, history has it that our princes, in fact, created “russia” with their discord. So help each other, appreciate each other, because together we are the power one cannot break.

Love your family and your Motherland.

On behalf of me personally and on behalf of the entire Republic of Moldova I congratulate you on the Independence Day of Ukraine!

Glory to Ukraine!”

Then started the concert of Khmelnytsky Regional Drama Theater Orchestra. The National Anthem of Ukraine sounded solemnly, the songs were sung, as well as Ukrainian and Moldavian folk songs, classics and popular songs by modern composers.

Сity residents and guests were treated with free soft drinks and sweets, and children got yellow and blue balloons.

The Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Moldova and the ROYAL PALACE LUXURY HOTEL & SPA handed over to our defenders a Volkswagen T5. The car has been inspected and serviced and now is ready to help the AFU.

“I would like to thank all the guests who joined us today. We were so happy to make your day special. And once again let’s express our gratitude to the AFU for the fact that in spite of the war we could spend Ukraine’s Independence Day together,” Mykola Skrypkovskiy concluded the event.

P.S. An hour after the end of celebrations, russian aggressor struck the Khmelnytsky region with rockets.

Trust in the AFU!
